Transportation Changes Permission to Leave School Early Dismissal

Transportation Changes: 

Students must have notes from home in the morning stating any changes in the day’s transportation.  Due to safety issues, we discourage phone messages as we cannot verify a person’s identity over the phone.  If you find it necessary to make a change in your child’s transportation during the school day, it will be necessary for you to either bring in a note.  In addition, if your child cannot ride the bus due to disciplinary action, you must send a note indicating how your child will go home.

Permission to Leave School

If you must take your child from school before the close of the school day, you should send a note to the child’s teacher the morning of the early dismissal. The note must state the reason for, and specify the time of the early dismissal. For safety reasons, no sign-outs will be allowed after 2:00 pm.

We DO NOT allow students to leave the school grounds without being accompanied by you or a designated adult listed on your child’s Student Safety Form. Also, anyone not known by our office personnel will have to present identification before a student is released.

DISTRICT-WIDE POLICY NOW REQUIRES VISITORS AND ANYONE SIGNING A STUDENT OUT OF SCHOOL TO PRESENT A DRIVER’S LICENSE OR STATE ISSUED ID.
